Aurora's 6th birthday party

We had Aurora's birthday party at a local bowling ally. All of the girls had fun. I made Aurora a peace sign dress, and a peace sign cake. Here is a picture where you can see Aurora's "pink hair" (no it is not really dyed). The girls having fun, and Jay helping them all. Getting ready. Celebrating Aurora's strike! (She bowled I think 104.) The banner and cake.

Opening presents.

First haircut

Aurora has been asking to get her hair cut. She wanted bangs, so Oma took her to get it cut just before her birthday party.

Here is the final results. She also got a barret with pink hair so she could have a strip of color in her hair without really dying her hair. I did not get a picture of her at the saloon with it in.

Swim lessons

Aurora started swim lessons on the same day as her birthday party. She loves being in the water. We got her a new swimsuit that of course has peace signs on it. (She is obessed with them right now). Waiting for her class to start.

Hanging out with friends.

Getting in:

Playing with cousins

Oma came out for Aurora's birthday, and she brought Aurora's cousins over to our house to play. Here are a couple of pictures of the kids playing. Brayden was all about the video games, Aurora played some with him and then went into the bedroom to play with the girls. They have a lot of fun together.

Catching Leprechauns

For Saint Patrick's Day Aurora made a leprechaun trap to take to school. The principal asked if she and a friend would be on the school news to talk about how to catch a leprechaun. Here is a picture of Aurora at school with her trap and a video of her talking on the news. A leprechaun did fall into her trap but got out. He did leave a note and chocolate coins for all of the kids. (I did not get a picture of the note.)
