Race Day

This is a picture that was in the SF newspaper. I am standing somewhere in the mob of people. It took us 30 minutes just to cross the starting line. I have never seen this many people in one area before. It was amazing.
I FINISHED!!! 13.1 miles and I am still smiling. 4 hours 30 minutes. Not bad because me and two of my teammates walked together and we took our time to enjoy all of the sights. One of the girls had a camara and we stopped to take pictures along the way. As soon as she gets me those pictures I will post them.

And this is the reason we did the race. Tiffany's necklace handed to us my guys in tuxes.

Here is a link to the official pictures that they took during the race. I do not know where I was on the course when any of them were taken: http://www.brightroom.com/go.asp?24028982

I had so much fun doing this, but I am glad it is done so I can relax. It really was physically and emotionally draining.

My weekend

This past weekend was such an incredible experience. I walked the Nike Women's Half Marathon in San Francisco. I fininshed in 4 hours 30 min. I walked with two friends and we made sure we enjoyed ourselves. One of them had their camara and we stopped to take pictures along the way. As soon as I get those from her I will post them. So until then here are some other pictures to highlight the rest of the weekend.

This is me and my teammate Rebecca at the airport at 5 in the morning. It was a very tiring weekend. None of us got very much sleep.

Friday after checking in to the hotel I met up with Kelly and we had fun the rest of the afternoon. It is great to see old friends and have things feel the way they always did like nothing had ever changed. Everyone needs to goof around a little.

Saturday morning I got up early with Melissa and we went to the expo to get our race packet and then get free manicures. We are sitting in the waiting are for our turn.

Nike's wall of names. They put everyone's name that was participating in the marathon on the wall outside of the Nike store in Union Square. Here is my name. Luckly it was not to high to see it.

Pedicures

Aurora loves to have her finger and toe nails painted. The other day she brought me some nail polish and asked me to do her toes. After I was done she thought it would be fun to paint her daddy's toes so that the would match hers. After giving him her sad face he let her do it. Of course I had to take it off right after the pictures were taken, but he was a good sport about it.
