Aurora's new look

Aurora's left eye is just a little weaker then the right, and they are hoping glasses can fix it.

Meet Bob

At the beginning of November Aurora wrote a letter to Santa, asking him if he would send an elf to play with her until Christmas. This morning she came out to find this:

His name is Bob. Santa said he will be with us until Christmas Eve. He is going to help Santa keep an eye on Aurora and let hiim know how she has been. Aurora is excited to have an elf come and stay for awhile.

So far he is doing everything with her.
Ever night he will write in his notebook about how she behaved that day, and he might get into some mischief while she sleeps. I told her she has to clean up any mess he might make, because she asked for him to come.

Gingerbread House

I am one of the leaders in our ward for the Activity Day Girls. They meet before Jay is off work, so Aurora gets to go with me and join in some of the things the girls do. Last week we decorated gingerbread houses. Here is a picture of Aurora with hers, and then some pictures she took of the house.

November

I started this month off by turning 30. My sweet husband had roses delivered to my work. Aren't they beautiful?

Aurora just had to have her picture taken with them.

Halloween Festivies

Jay's work had a Halloween thing at Vala's Pumpkin Patch that we went to. We got to see a show with a pumpkin eating dragon, roast hot dogs and marshmallows (for s'mores), go on a hayride, jump on a giant jumpy thing, pick a pumpkin, and just have fun. There was way more to do then we could have possibly done in one evening, and Aurora was so tired by the time we came home.

The weekend before Halloween Aurora and Jay carved the pumpkin, Aurora still hates to stick her hand in and pull out the pumpkin guts. She does not like the way it feels.

Since Halloween was on a Sunday this year our ward did a Trunk-or-Treat the Saturday before. Aurora was Marie the cat from Aristocats, but people thought she was a lamb, a polar bear, a bunny, and a bunch of other things.

Catch up

So I have been really bad about updating the blog. Here is a brief update for the end of Sept. - beginning of Oct.

There is an older couple in our ward that has an apple orchard and they love having ward members over to pick the apples. We went with another family in our ward, their daughter is in the same kindergarten class as Aurora, for family home evening. Aurora had a lot of fun and we made apple cobbler from all of the apples.

At the beginning of Oct we went to a local educational farm for their annual start of fall festival. Aurora got to hold a chick, ride a pony, and pet a bunch of different animals. There was a lot to look at.

Then Grandma and Grandpa came to visit for a long weekend. We went to the zoo, a Halloween carnival, and the Heartland of America Park. Grandma and Grandpa got lucky to have good weather the whole time they were out.

I do have a lot more picture of all of this stuff, but I did not want to over load the blog with all of them.
